simply fabulous

I worked 9 hours yesterday and did not take a break. I didn't have time. Grocery truck showed up at 9:45, 15 minutes before my break. So I offloaded that and FDM showed up at 10:30 so I had to offload him next. By time all this was done it was 12:30. Then produce showed up and had some grocery on him that I had to deal with. Then food bank showed up and said they had stuff to pick up but the backroom was so full I had to pull pallets outside to get their stuff out. But first I had to run around and try to find someone who knew what they were getting. Bret didn't know and I couldn't find Julie. So we loaded what I thought they were getting. Then they went and found Julie and they got the receipts for their stuff. By then it was 1:30-1:40 and I still had to do my order. And Bret was yelling at me to get dairy up so I stayed and made it look good. I got out around 3:15ish I think.

Today I worked 6-1. We had that visit today. I knew it was going to go bad and it did. There were issues on the milk not being rotated, which that's all Dustin cause I rotate. I'm the only person who's ever understood how to rotate the milk asides from Scott a few years ago. I just hadn't gotten that far by time they showed up to walk. But whichever, we almost got written up over it but we didn't. Also I had 25s on the shelf. ooo. Big deal. He made me mark them down because I can't have more than 2 dates on the shelf and not more than 3 in the back. I had 25s, 27s, and 02s on the shelf. Again: Big deal. Apparently they're going to be seriously pushing on advertising that Kroger carries the freshest milk ever. And they'll start this promotion in August. *smirk* I won't be here in August. Nyah. The third thing was that the second shelf of milk was full and they wanted only two rows on it. Oops. That third thing I forgot to do. Zhaun was asking me through the door why I didn't have two rows on the bottom shelf. Kinda went like this, me in the cooler and them outside talking through the door:
Zhaun, "Why are the second shelves full?"
Me, "*combination of hiss and whisper* 0_0 I forgot!!"
Zhaun, to Howard, "Oh, it's because they were on sale."
Howard, "Oh, well that's fine, when they're not on sale they have to be 2 rows though."
I explained to Zhaun later that I simply forgot that it's part of my getting ready for them that I overlooked.

I still totally imagine Zhaun and Howard getting into a fabulous slapping fight.

I talked to Dustin and made it sound like he would have gotten a write up too so he'd get into rotating better. You know what? I don't really care if he does or not. Next time I'll pay special attention to getting it rotated before they get here. And then after I quit Dustin can be the one getting in trouble.

Also, Meadowgold dumped a pallet of milk out back and me and Bonnie couldn't find a hose so we had to haul mop buckets of water out back to wash it away with. We used a squeegee and a broom to sorta push it into the drain.

I skipped my break again today.

Yesterday I had a woman give me a gallon of 1% that had a bit of milk on the outside. She then pointed to three other gallons and told me they were leaking. She was all upset and going on and on about it so I told her I'd take care of it (had to tell her a few times before she went away) and wiped off the "leaking" one and then checked it and the other three out. They were just fine. Not a leak anywhere on any of them. Dunno where the milk came from but these things happen.
