Ok, it's time for a work update!
Today was really slow for first day of caselot. But Bret was freaking out and running around and being frantic. I almost wanted to make Patty go give him a hug or something or to tell him it's ok, calm down, breath.
I spent from 12:00-almost 3 offloading trucks today.
And on Monday I spent 2 1/2 hours loading foodbank's special order of pasta. 600 cases. They insisted on bringing the van. Oh, how I hate the van. I can only fit two short pallets in at a time and it takes a while to get them in, especially the side door one because they have these metal cage things behind the front seats and it's hard to angle a pallet in around those cages. Then in the midst of that this other guy came to pick up his special order of water so I had to load that. And I ran into a wheeler and knocked over some salsa but the super insanely nice foodbank guy helped me pick it up. He's always so nice and helpful and kind and just tripping over himself in his haste to help others.
On Sunday I had a really bad stress headache from spending 2 hours filling yogurt. It's pretty bad when only two hours of yogurt is enough to make me want to crawl off into a hole and cry. Yogurt people are just so rude and inconsiderate. Reaching in front of me and around me without acknowledging my presence as if I wasn't even there or not even human enough for them to say "Excuse me" or something, anything, even a glance. No sorries or anything when I jump and back away. Putting it back wrong. Making silly, "Oh, look at me, I'm messing up your nice stock job, aren't I so cute?" Oh, yeah, if you know you're being mean why don't you do something about it? Shoving it in my face isn't helpful. Grabbing the yogurt behind the one you took and pulling it forward? Yeah, that is the ONLY time you make jokes about how you're destroying my hard work.
The driver for the deli/frozen truck on Monday make Bonnie upset. He rang the door buzzer and he laid on the button and let it ring constantly until she unlocked the door and let him in. So she yelled at him. And later after we were done with the truck she wasn't in the backroom so he asked me if she was my manager and I said no, I'm the dairy manager and she's the icm and I'm her backup and he was all, "So she doesn't mean anything to you then?" I was all, "o_0... um..." and he said that she had mouthed off to him earlier and I explained why what he did was wrong and that he should never do it again and that if he wants in and no one answers his first or second short burst ring to call the store. He said his boss had called (Bonnie later said no one had called her) a half hour before he showed up so I told him we can't stand back there with the back door open for a half hour waiting for him because we have things we need to do. He wasn't very happy that I'd taken Bonnie's side. But me and Bonnie had a good laugh about it later.
Zhaun doesn't want to have to take wheelers out of the cooler to get ready for the milk load tomorrow morning so told me just to come in at 6. lol, sure. I don't mind.
